Kumdo (Sword)

Kumdo Korean swordsmanship at United Tiger Martial Arts in Sanford, FL

Traditional Korean Swordsmanship

Kumdo is a traditional Korean swordsmanship practice that was once reserved for royalty. Historically, members of the royal family — who often led battles — were trained in both Taekwondo for hand-to-hand combat and Kumdo for weapon skills, ensuring they were well-rounded in all forms of combat.
